At the heart of the Sporting Lagos Academy is our commitment to nurturing
Nigeria’s next generation of football talent
Established in 2023, our elite Academy of boys aged 15-18 has quickly become a key part of our football Club. The Academy competes in Nigeria’s third division, the Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) and The Creative Championship (TCC) . This provides a competitive and professional environment that shapes our young footballers into top-tier players.
Our scouting network spans across Nigeria and ensures that we constantly identify and recruit the best talent.
In 2024, our Academy team won the Gothia Puma Trophy in Gothenburg, Sweden , and finished as runners-up in the TCC Cup (TCC) . Standout players Samuel Umoh and Edward Ochigbo proudly represented the National Team U-15, while goalkeeper Ebenezer Harcourt played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s triumph at the WAFU B U-20 tournament.
The Junior Academy
In addition to our elite Academy, we are excited to offer the Sporting Lagos Junior Academy. This program is designed for the development of boys and girls aged 8-14. With professional coaching in a structured and safe environment, this program is what your child needs to kickstart their football career.
